Beyond our undeniably beautiful venue, there’s the land. Fields that shift with wildflowers. Birds and butterflies that drift overhead. And Scottish Highland cattle that graze in the distance.

Modern, warm, and architectural, this space truly is the heart of our “home”. Floor-to-ceiling windows, a curved back wall, and over 40 ceiling hanging points create a striking yet flexible space for up to 200 guests. And while the light changes throughout the day, the extraordinary view never does.

Grand Courtyard

Spacious and serene, the Courtyard is bordered by old-growth oak trees, a ceremony altar, and an outdoor fireplace. With quick-dry artificial turf, built-in support, and ADA access, it’s the rare outdoor setting that feels effortless, even in heels.

Tucked in the center of the home, near the Grand Courtyard and the Reception Hall, this private courtyard offers a peaceful, light-filled spot for first looks, portraits, or a moment of calm before the happy chaos of the celebration.

Unlike any other in the Carolinas, our double-paned, climate-controlled Greenhouse is light-filled and thoughtfully designed for year-round enjoyment. With a built-in bar and stunning chandeliers, it’s equally suited for an intimate dinner for 50, an indoor-outdoor cocktail reception for 200, or a night of dancing under the stars.

Running the length between the hall and the Courtyard, the Veranda invites al fresco dinners, breezy transitions, and golden hour toasts. With overhead cover and soft lighting, it connects every part of your event and brings it all together.

After years leading development for high-end resorts, private islands, and boutique hotels, she began to imagine something more personal. A venue not shaped by investors or market trends, but by vision. Integrity. And a deep belief in what a well-designed space can offer families.

Britt built Lumen House from the ground up—alongside her husband, Jonathan, and a small team she trusts. As a family-owned business, every detail reflects their shared commitment to thoughtful design and lasting hospitality.
