How to Have a Wedding at The Lumen House for Under $30,000

You deserve the wedding of your dreams! Understanding your budget is where it all begins.

One of the first things to decide is what matters most to you: sticking to a specific budget or achieving that Pinterest-worthy aesthetic. Can you have both? Totally! Our goal is simply to keep expectations realistic, not ruin the fun. We’re here to help you navigate the wedding industry with expert guidance and an honest budget breakdown.

We get a lot of inquiries stating they want to keep their budget at $30,000. This is very do-able at The Lumen House! Let’s breakdown how it’s possible.

Venue

First, our venue ranges in pricing depending on the day and season. Those who want to be cost effective should look into weekday weddings, a Friday is still fun and you can have a whole weekend celebration afterwards! Right now August 2026 Friday weddings are $7,950! At The Lumen House we require you to get wedding insurance which is $250 and security which you can budget $480 for.

Planning

At The Lumen House, we require a coordinator to ensure a smooth and stress-free experience. Your coordinator will assist with your final timeline, layout, vendor communication, and all the important details as the last 30 days leading up to your wedding approach. On the wedding day itself, they’re there to keep everything running seamlessly. We love the planners on our required vendor list, and while planning ranges, we find Florence Event Co, has a great package for 2,000. Making it a valuable investment in both your peace of mind and your wedding day experience.

Catering

Once those two vendors are secured, catering and bar service typically come next.

At The Lumen House, we require couples to choose from our curated list of caterers to ensure exceptional food and service. One of our favorite options for budget-conscious couples is King of Fire because who doesn’t love pizza? Their package includes one appetizer, one salad, and four pizzas for $32 per person. Once tax and gratuity are added you’re looking at $4,992 for food.

Catering Total: $4,992

Bar

For the bar, our in-house wine and beer package is recommended! This package includes a selection of five wines and three beers from our list, along with professional bartender service, ice, and glassware. Including tax and gratuity, this comes to around $5,616.

Bar Total: $5,616

After catering and bar, you’ll move on to other detail-oriented vendors. We provide a preferred vendor list with a wide range of amazing professionals, each one chosen for the exceptional value.

Photography

Photography pricing can vary based on coverage hours, whether a second shooter is needed, and if film photography is included. Based on a $30,000 budget, there are photographers on our list you can get for around $3,800.

Photography Total: $3,800

Content Creator

A wedding content creator is the perfect way to capture raw, behind-the-scenes moments from your big day. From candid reactions to in-between magic, you’ll have authentic content to relive and share almost instantly.

Content Creator Total: $1,000

Entertainment

Next comes entertainment. A DJ is a great option and typically has the capability to set up in two locations (one for the ceremony and one for the reception). Pricing can vary depending on add-ons like photo booths or lighting, but for basic DJ services from our preferred vendor list, we recommend budgeting around $1,875.

Entertainment Total: $1,875

Florals & Décor

This leaves approximately $2,000 for florals and décor. Some of our favorite floral vendors even blend faux and live flowers to create a beautiful, budget-friendly look. And don’t underestimate a long tablescape of bud vases and candles, we think it’s one of the most stunning setups at The Lumen House.
